Hello little ones,
Our trip is half way over, and we are finally getting the hang of this Barcelona thing. This morning we woke up and had breakfast together in the hotel restaurant before Daddy headed off to work. The food, was well....um....weird, especially the scrambled eggs, which tasted a lot like hardboiled eggs blended together. Like we said...weird. :) Daddy was gone all day again, which continues to bum mommy out, but Daddy figured out how to use the Subway so he is able to get to and from the convention center much much faster. Mommy was excited that daddy was home early because she was starving and really really wanted to get out and in to the city. We were really excited to find a Mexican restaurant downtown. We ate Guacamole, which your mother cut in half with a chip to make sure that it is was shared fairly. Daddy suggested that since he is much bigger than mommy that he should be given more than half. It seemed fair, but Mommy wasn't having it. The Guac was yummy by the way. Daddy really wanted a bean & cheese burrito, and mommy was excited to find one on "Spanish only" menu, except for the fact that it wasn't a burrito! Yes it had beans. Yes it had cheese. Yes it had a tortilla. But, it was unlike anything we had ever seen! Imagine tortillas on a plate, covered with a pureed version of black beans, topped with cheese and sour cream. Uhh...it was interesting. We had a good time. If you haven't caught on to the theme of this trip yet, we're eating our way across Barcelona. It's pretty darn cool, and we think you'd all like it here. But the BEST part about the restaurant is that the bathroom was right smack in the middle of the dining room, behind a curtain... haha we had a good laugh at that. After dinner daddy bought mommy some white roses (her favorite) & we walked a bit...it was really cool! The streets were paved with stones, and were barely wide enough to fit daddy's car. Mommy's car? Not a chance! Too narrow, too narrow in deed. :)
Tomorrow is Daddy's last day of work, so he'll be done several hours sooner than the past three days...we are planning on doing to serious sight-seeing. Mommy and Daddy are excited about being together all day and having some awesome and fun adventures. We miss you all very much and can't wait to see you on Sunday.
Grace I hope that you had fun at your first softball practice. Faith we heard you did a great job during your valentines show. Hank we hope that you had a fun time at play group! Make sure to tell Katie happy birthday...she is getting really old, so she'll need big hugs from each of you.
Tell Nanni and Papa that we love them, and thank you for watching you. We really appreciate it!
We love you. We love you more. We love you more than anything!
Mom and Dad.
PS: Make sure to do your homework and to be happy!
PSS: Have you been jumping on the trampoline?
